All applicants should:

  • Have an internationally recognized diploma (e.g.: MSc or equivalent) giving access to doctoral studies
  • Have less than 4 years full-time research experience after this diploma
  • Not have lived or worked in the host country more than 12 months in the last 36 months prior to the appointment

PhD positions

NOTE : APPLICATIONS FOR PhD POSITIONS NOW CLOSED

The PhD positions should be appointed in September-December 2005.

The applicant should contact directly via email the contact scientist of the PhD subject she/he is interested in. The Expression of interest for the PhD program, sent to the contact scientist must contain:

  1. Detailed Curriculum Vitae
  2. Motivation letter (aptitude to carry out research project, capability for integration in a research team, research proposal for the PhD program)
  3. 2-3 reference letters from scientific referees from institution or University of origin.

 

Short and medium-term positions

NOTE : APPLICATIONS FOR POSITIONS NOW CLOSED

Short- and medium-term positions, for training periods between 3 and 18 months, can be appointed during the whole EST program (June 2005-May 2008).

The applicant should contact directly via email the contact scientist of the research team in which she/he wants to apply. The expression of interest for the training period, should be sent to the contact scientist and must contain:

  1. 1 detailed Curriculum Vitae
  2. 1 short motivation letter
  3. At least 1 reference letter from a scientific referee from institution or University of origin

 

Evaluation of candidates

All applications will be evaluated by the scientist who proposed the research subject. Decisions regarding the selected candidates will be examined and validated by the VERT Advisory Board. The selected applicant will be contacted directly by the scientist in charge to constitute the administrative and scientific forms for the appointment.

 

Salary and mobility allowance

Marie Curie fellows are employed through fixed-term contracts in accordance with the relevant French legislation. The net salary is about 1500 Euros/month plus mobility allowance of about 300 Euros/month. Social security is included.
